Museum Of The Isles

This new build museum tells the story of the Celts and Clan Donald in the context of the history of Gaeldom. A linear series of galleries develops the story using audio visual, lighting, graphic and artefact displays. The story is told in both English and Gaelic and uses a contemporary design approach to tell a traditional story.

The design and fit out included the museum retail area. The project was completed within budget and schedule. The Museum of the Isles is the recipient of an award for Best Museum in 2003.
