Design
At Bright 3D we are experts in the design of remarkable visitor experiences. Our creative team take pride in designing inspirational environments at the same time as building strong client relationships. The process begins with our team listening carefully to what you want to achieve before developing the design through collaborative discussions.
Our scope of works includes:
- retail design
- interpretive design
- exhibition design
- commercial interiors
Sustainable design is both an expectation and an important element to any project. We have considerable experience and understanding of issues relating to sustainable design. We source products which have been assessed for their good environmental credentials. Importantly we aim to work with locally sourced (to the client) products and services as well as local companies and crafts people.
Project and Build Management
Our project managers are an integral part of the team from the outset of the project. Initially their role is to ensure that the proposed designs are realistic and achievable. They are also responsible for ensuring that all elements of the project installation can withstand the test of time – and visitors!.
The completion of a job may require the input of one or several specialist suppliers – from lighting and AV, to fit out contractors and everything in between. The key to a successful installation is the co-ordination of these suppliers. We ensure that they can all work together as a team – each one understanding the scope of the project in relation to their specialism and the others involved.
When acting on behalf of clients we always obtain competitive quotes and make our recommendations based on suitability, experience, location and value for money.
We offer our clients as much or as little as they require. We can take a project from concept to delivery or we can work on a design only basis if the client appoints their own contractors.
Graphics and Branding
In addition to designing impactful graphics displays for 3D environments, we also design in both 2D and online environments.
Great design is driven by strong branding. Your brand is everything connected to what you are and what you do – the experience you provide your visitor, your people, your services, your reputation, tone and personality and most importantly your passion for your offer.
Your visual identity sets up an expectation, expresses and strengthens your personality. It is represented by all of the constituent elements of the culture, its physical appearance – imagery, typography, colours, formats – and the written word.
At Bright 3D we can work within your existing brand framework and guidelines to deliver the materials that you need to support your offer. Or we can help you define your brand at the outset of the project and work from there to create your supporting materials:
For example:
- Definition of tone and personality
- Visual identity
- Words and verbal articulations of your brand
- The visual language (graphics/pictures/imagery)
- Marketing and communications collateral
Interpretation and Storytelling
We work closely with our clients to tell stories in creative, accessible, highly engaging and culturally sensitive ways. Finding a balance between telling and discovering ensures an entertaining, rich and rewarding experience for the visitor. Our interpretation planning is based on Tilden’s key principles of Provoke, Relate, Reveal…We use these to ensure that everything we propose has meaningful outcomes for visitors both emotionally and behaviourally. Learning outcomes are addressed by exploring not only the content but different ways to deliver interpretation using a range of media and pulling on our experience across exhibitions, retail and visitor centres we can provide a mix of visual and hands-on interactive elements to make a visit memorable.
HLF Funding Support
Working as part of an extended team of specialists which may include architects, access specialists and engineers among others we ensure that there is a co-ordinated approach between the interior and interpretive design and other aspects of the project.
We can help our clients to present their plans and aspirations in a visually appealing and descriptive way. We work alongside masterplan consultants to interpret ideas visually.
Signage and Wayfinding
Signage and wayfinding – both internally and externally is an important part of any project. Great wayfinding is more than just design. Avoiding information overload, understanding how people make decisions and giving the right information at the right time is crucial. Getting the signage and wayfinding right helps to re-inforce the essence of the place, contributes to a safe environment and makes a far more enjoyable experience.
